Ebanks Cleared Of Rape Allegations

Professional basketball player Devin Ebanks was cleared of any wrong-doing in a rape investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department. Investigators in the case report that an unnamed woman claimed Ebanks took her home from a nightclub on September 13th of this year, but that when she turned down his sexual advances, Ebanks forcibly raped her. The woman reported the alleged incident to local law enforcement agents that same night, and even underwent a sexual assault examination. The examination, however, yielded no foreign DNA anywhere on her body. The woman later sent a text message to Ebanks claiming that she had contracted a sexually transmitted disease from their encounter. Ebanks, however, sent a text message back that that was not possible since they had never had intercourse. The Los Angeles County District Attorney ultimately decided that the woman had no credible evidence against Ebanks and dismissed the case. Ebanks currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers after having been chosen as a second round draft pick in the 2010 draft.
