Castro Being Investigated for Sexual Assault

Professional baseball player Starlin Castro is being investigated by local law enforcement agents after a woman accused him of sexually assaulting her. The woman, whose name has not been released, claims she met Castro last fall at a nightclub in the River North on September 29th. Around three o'clock in the morning, she and a friend went to Castro's apartment, where the assault took place. The unidentified woman went to a local hospital the next evening and local police were then called to investigate. In the meantime, Castro had left for the Dominican Republic to spend the off season from baseball. Castro, who is an All-Star shortstop for the Chicago Cubs and has not commented on the allegations against him, is scheduled to return to the United States next week for the Cubs Convention. Castro is in just his second year in the major leagues.
