Female Prison Guard Pleads Guilty To Sex With Inmate
A female prison guard pleaded guilty last week to charges of unlawful sex with an inmate. Renee Noelle Gutierrez, who is 42 and lives in Redondo Beach, pleaded guilty in a United States Distric Court to a felony charge of the sexual abuse of a male ward stemming from an incident in April of 2010. Gutierrez resigned after the incident came to light and just before she was indicted by a federal grand jury last August. Gutierrez will be sentenced in March of this year and is currently facing up to 15 years in a federal prison.
