Man Sentenced In Child Pornography Case
A federal judge in Riverside sentenced a man to 25 years in prison this past Monday for his part in a child pornography ring. Joshua Boras, 34, had pleaded guilty to charges of participating in an enterprise that exploited children, as well as producing child pornography. Boras, who is from Lapeer, Michigan, was part of a small online group called "Lost Boy," that required new members to submit child pornography to join, and continue posting new images or videos of child pornography to remain in good standing with the group. For his part, Boras had posted images and video of himself sexually abusing a boy. Federal and international law enforcement agencies working together officially shut down the website three years ago after finding as many as 35 different members in several countries including the United States, Great Britain, Brazil, Canada, Belgium, New Zealand, France and Germany. So far, 15 men have pleaded guilty or been convicted for their participation in this group.
